Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks Online — Safe, Secure & Fast

We offer two types of checks. An Employment Check costs $59.00 (inc. GST) for paid employment, positions of trust, licensing and industry accreditation. A Volunteer Check costs $29.00 (inc. GST) for genuine volunteer positions with not-for-profit organisations, charities, and compulsory student placements. Eligibility criteria apply to volunteer checks.

A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) is a comprehensive search of criminal records across all Australian states and territories, coordinated through the ACIC. It checks for disclosable court outcomes including convictions, findings of guilt, and pending charges. Commonly required for employment, volunteering, licensing, and professional accreditation.

Our checks are processed through the National Police Checking Service, connecting with police agencies across all Australian states and territories. We serve individuals needing checks for employment, volunteering, and licensing purposes.

The National Police Checking Service requires three identity documents — one from each of three categories: one Commencement of Identity document (such as a birth certificate or Australian citizenship certificate), one Primary Use in Community document (such as an Australian driver licence or passport), and one Secondary Use in Community document (such as a Medicare card). Together they must show your full name, date of birth and a photograph. You'll also need a photo of yourself holding an approved form of ID so our team can visually confirm your identity against your documents.

Your Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check Results Report is issued through the ACIC's National Police Checking Service and provided to you by National Clearance Australia.

The volunteer rate of $29 is available if: you are taking on a role entirely voluntarily for the benefit of the community; you will not be working as an employee, contractor, subcontractor, or officer of an organisation; you will not receive any salary, wages, or other benefits; or you are a student completing compulsory placement for an Australian educational institution.

70% of applications are issued in real-time or within 24 hours (business days) when no potential match is found. The remaining 30% may take up to 10 business days if referred to police agencies for additional verification. This is the same across all ACIC accredited providers as all use the same National Police Checking Service. You'll receive email updates throughout the process.
