Can I Request Deletion of My Personal Data?

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to request that National Clearance Australia delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to certain conditions and legal retention obligations.
- The information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
- You withdraw your consent and there is no other legal basis for retaining it.
- We are not required by law or ACIC accreditation obligations to retain the data.
We may be required to retain certain records for a defined period under our ACIC accreditation obligations, Australian taxation law, or other applicable legislation. In such cases, we will advise you of the retention period and ensure your data is not used for any other purpose.
