Can I Use My Police Check for Multiple Employers?

Learn how to share your police check certificate with multiple employers, considering recency requirements and privacy guidelines.

Yes — You Own Your Certificate

Your police check certificate belongs to you. You are free to share it with as many employers, licensing bodies, or organisations as you choose, provided the certificate remains within the recency period they require.

Recency Requirements

While you can share one certificate with multiple parties, each organisation sets its own recency threshold. One employer may accept a certificate up to 12 months old, while another may require one issued within the last 3 months. Always confirm each recipient's requirement before sharing.

Sharing Your Certificate

Your certificate is available as a downloadable PDF from your National Clearance Australia dashboard. You can share it via email, upload it to a recruiter's platform, or print a physical copy.

Privacy Reminder

Your certificate contains sensitive personal information. Only share it with legitimate, authorised parties who have a lawful reason to request it.

Priority Processing Available — $20

Need your result faster? Add Priority Processing to your application for just $20. Up to 70% of priority checks are completed the same day. If we are unable to process your check the same day, the $20 Priority Processing fee will be fully refunded.
