What Do I Do If My Name Is Incorrect on My Certificate?

Learn how to identify and correct errors on your certificate, including name or detail discrepancies.

Identifying the Error

Review your certificate carefully upon receipt. If your name, date of birth, or any other detail is incorrect, first identify whether the error originated in your application or was introduced during processing.

What to Do
  1. Log in and locate your application reference number on the certificate.
  2. Compare the details on the certificate with what you entered during application.
  3. Contact support at info@nationalclearanceaustralia.com.au, quoting your reference number and clearly stating the correction required.
  4. Attach a copy of the relevant identity document (e.g. passport, birth certificate) confirming the correct details.
Please Note

If the error was made in your original application, a new application fee may apply. If the error was on our end, an amended certificate will be issued at no additional cost.

Using an Incorrect Certificate

We strongly advise against submitting an incorrect certificate to any employer, licensing body, or government agency. Please wait for the corrected certificate before sharing it.
