What Should I Do If I Suspect Fraud on My Account?
Learn the immediate actions to take if you suspect unauthorised access or fraudulent activity on your National Clearance Australia account, including changing your password, reviewing applications, and contacting support.
If you suspect that your National Clearance Australia account has been accessed without authorisation, or that someone has attempted to submit a police check in your name, act quickly to protect your personal and criminal history information.
- Change your password immediately – Log in and update your password via My Account > Security Settings. Use a strong, unique password.
- Review your application history – Check your dashboard for any applications you did not submit.
- Contact NCA support – Email info@nationalclearanceaustralia.com.au immediately. Include your full name, email, and a description of the suspicious activity.
- Report to the OAIC – If you believe your personal information has been misused, lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
- Contact your bank – If you suspect fraudulent payment activity, contact your bank or card provider without delay.
